ONE NIGHT Saves Lives
The Eighth Annual ONE NIGHT SM presented by CNL Financial Group hosted 700 guests at the Mall at Millenia on May 5, 2013, to raise awareness and funds for Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center.
Those in attendance heard the compelling, real-life story of David Rodriguez, a Florida Highway Patrol Officer struck by a distracted driver while performing a routine traffic stop. Preventable traumas such as David’s can happen “in the blink of an eye”, and often seconds can be the difference between life and death. The story illustrated the importance of trauma care and Orlando Health’s commitment to the community, offering this vital and costly service “when it matters most.” As Central Florida’s only Level One Trauma Center, ORMC is always ready and waiting to receive the most critically injured patients from around the region.
The Rodriguez family was on hand at the ONE NIGHT event to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the trauma center who cared for their family when they needed them the most.
ONE NIGHT is Orlando Health Foundation’s annual event to raise awareness and philanthropic support for this critical, life-saving resource. Thank you to all our sponsors, campaign donors, and partners in prevention for supporting our mission to educate and encourage trauma prevention. Your support of ONE NIGHT makes a difference to thousands of patients and families each and every year.
